[ ok, so he wasn't expecting that. it takes him a moment to pull the shirt from his head and make a low, spewing sound of gross. ]

Gross, Thor, you're all sweaty!

[ thor knows he isn't, so he's just going to ignore that, wow ]

You were asking so nicely to see what I'd had done to myself.

[ he isn't, but Loki has to make a dramatic show out of everything that he does, anyway. ]

I'd lay witness of something that was most certainly Not For Me, brother.

[ a little twist upward of his lips. when he looks smugly satisfied, it usually just comes off as annoying. ]

[ thor isn't prepared to talk entirely honestly about what he led him to get the tattoo yet, so he just rolls his eyes and goes to sit himself on the couch where loki can admire the runes to his heart's content

the skin is almost fully healed, only a tinge of pink at the edges left. the runes themselves are solidly drawn, in a style that shows the thor likely drew what he wanted for the artist ]

[ Loki collects himself and tosses the shirt to the side. he shifts from his butt to his knees, perched on the cushions of the couch. he looms over Thor for a moment, taking satisfaction in his sudden tallness over his brother.

then he sets a dark nailed finger on the tattoos, sparking the empathy bond for Thor to feel the mix of his curiosity and smugness, as if he's won some kind of tiny victory. his fingers drag down from one to the next, keeping the contact. ]

[ there's a slight feeling of irritated skin, which hasn't completely had time to heal yet, but for his part thor feels amused and almost expectant, like he's waiting for his brother to pass judgement. he's mostly quiet as his brother inspects the tattoos, but his impatience wins out after a minute or so ]

Well? Does it pass the judgement of Loki the Discerning?

[ the words drawl from between his lips, as if he knows how annoying that he's being. ]

I'm still deciding.

[ he'll feel the spike of amused irritation in thor ]

Will you be writing me a treatise on the conclusions you come to?

[ there's still the cool touch of his fingers drawing down his back where the tattoos are, just a little underneath. it's not often that Loki seems comfortable with the empathy bond, but with his satisfaction he seems no reason to pull back. ]

Are you here to tempt me? I may just rise to the challenge.

[ thor chuckles. there's a feeling in the back of his mind that he enjoys knowing just what his brother's feeling ]

You can write it. It doesn't mean I'll read it. I already know the meaning they hold for me.
